Spyderco Ambitious Lightweight Black (C148PBBK)

The smallest member of Spyderco’s popular Value Folder series, the all black Ambitios is an ultra-compact cutting tool that cuts with big-knife authority. In its lightweight configuration, it trades the G10 scales of the original for injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) with a high-traction Bi-Directional Texture pattern. Taking that evolution one step further, the Amnbitious Lightweight Black Blade cloacks the knife’s full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade in a non-reflective black oxide coating. Consistent with that theme, the handle’s full skeletonized stainless steel liners, four-position pocket clip, and other hardware also sport stealthy black coatings. The Ambitious Lightweight features a sturdy liner lock mechanism to lock the blade securely open during use.
